o Ensure employees are working safely and following all PPE rules
o Schedule Coastal trucks for customer runs
o Manage Coastal Driver's DOT Hours of Service (Knowledge of XRS or similar Electronic Driver Log System)
o Manage driver schedules to handle business load.
o Schedule proper driver training for site specific training on customer locations
o Ensure all trucks and trailers are up to date on necessary certifications
o Conduct daily truck inspections as well as under truck inspections prior to Coastal trucks leaving on runs
o Work with Customer Service Representatives on orders daily
o Complete MBWA each week and enter into Intelex system
o Do Near Miss and enter into Intelex system.
o Rotation in the on-call schedule for facility, including weekends
o Create and process BOL's as needed
o Close communication with Carriers
o Other Duties as Assigned by Management
Ability to:
o Process all paperwork delivered on a daily basis.
o Respond to incoming calls throughout the day and dispatch accordingly.
o Supervise drivers; assisting as necessary.
o Work flexible hours when necessary.
o Work and think safety 1st.
Graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma and have a minimum of two (2) years of related experience. Knowledge of basic computer skills, and the ability to pass drug screen, physical, and human performance test.
A comparable amount of directly related training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications at the discretion of the human resources office and the hiring manager.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
